Pain related to endometriosis


Aihie Enterprise Ltd. owner Sato Aihie is looking at the development of a smart technology wearable device to help monitor and manage the pain related to endometriosis. Women who suffer from endometriosis experience pain that is debilitating, disruptive and overwhelming. Sato Aihie has discovered a way that relieves symptoms of endometriosis. Aihie Enterprises Ltd. was founded to support her journey to product commercialisation for her invention.

Design feedback


This innovation voucher utilised the expertise of the Nimbus Gateway hardware and electronics R&D specialists to assess the proposed invention, examine recommended electronics and confirm a design worth prototyping.

Sato took an active role in design feedback and will be involved in future testing. This voucher will also explore if the proposed device potentially falls within the scope of being a medical device. Additionally, Nimbus investigated what AI can add value to the desired prototype.

The research conducted has provided Aihie Enterprises Ltd. with actionable insights which will direct further research and development moving forward. The feedback received is very encouraging and will now lead to seeking further funding as the company progresses towards developing a prototype.  Several potential modifications were recommended by the Nimbus team that will further improve the quality and capabilities of the product. The work carried out by Nimbus will make the product more attractive to both customers and potential investors. The company is currently shortlisted for the InterTrade Ireland Seedcorn investor readiness competition.
