Autumn Whispers is a membership-based platform that makes it easy for families and friends around the world to contribute their favourite memories and moments. For further details please refer to https://autumn-whispers.com/.
They have developed an MVP, where they required the Nimbus Gateway User Experience (UX) Research Team to validate the value proposition with a sample of representative end-users. The outcome of a User Research study seeks to inform their next phase of software development.
User Research study
This project applied collaborative and co-creation processes where a series of online workshops were undertaken. Through online workshops this helped guide in specifying usability testing planning (recruitment, methodology docs, pre-test & post-test interviews, moderator scripts & evaluation forms) and the formulation of usability testing requirements with the client and the Nimbus team.
A series of six UX workshops were facilitated online using MS Teams, Miro, an online collaboration whiteboard platform and an app prototyping tool (screen sharing with participants during testing).
We conducted six user research studies, which consisted of a semi-structured interview, task analysis, and debrief interview. Each user research study was one hour in duration.
The key deliverables from this project included a comprehensive user research evaluation report and a heuristic evaluation report inclusive of results and recommendations.
The outcome of this project has now contributed to the refinement of Autumn Whispers product quality and eliminated risk as they progress with the commercialisation phase of product development.

Autumn Whispers is a micro enterprise with a fabulous innovation and service. There customer base is most certainly global. They are entering into a costly phase of their platform’s development. Requirements have been properly defined with guidance and analysis from the Nimbus UX Research Team. With just two innovation vouchers a reduced level of risk for future software developments is now a serious reality.
