Main Circle Medical

Galway-based medical device company

Main Circle Medical was experiencing difficulties with simulation models used to test its device. The team needed support to improve the quality of its testing and establish a better basis for subsequent verification activities. Addressing the simulation-model difficulties was a specific technical bottleneck in its development work. Through the Innovation Voucher, the company sought access to MET’s expertise and testing capabilities to help resolve this problem and broaden the technology available to its team.

Simulation and model testing

MET Technology Gateway supported Main Circle Medical through simulation and model testing, with mechanical testing providing an additional benefit within the collaboration.

Simulation and Model Testing: MET supported the company with simulation models that it had been struggling with, helping the team address a specific technical obstacle and improve the quality of testing carried out on its device.

Mechanical Testing: Main Circle Medical highlighted mechanical testing as a beneficial service and an unforeseen outcome of the engagement, adding another useful capability alongside the simulation and model work.

Collaborative Technical Support: The completed Innovation Voucher gave Main Circle Medical access to MET’s team and technology. Cormac Flynn described the collaboration as effective and welcomed continued conversation.
